Earlier this year, Japanâs BEMAC completed the deal to become majority stakeholder in The Switch, an acquisition providing the proverbial âwin-winâ for both sides, as BEMAC [along with partner Mitsui] got a leg-up on modern electric solutions for ships, while The Switch saw benefits from the assets of a much larger organization and an entrance into the difficult-to-penetrate Japanese shipbuilding market.
