USCG Oversight of DWP Activities

The U.S. Coast Guard issued a Navigation and Vessel Inspection Circular (NVIC) providing guidance for oversight of post-licensing activities associated with development of deepwater ports (DWPs). The guidance relates to design, plan review, fabrication, installation, inspection, maintenance, and oversight of U.S. DWPs. It establishes procedures for selection and acceptance of a certifying entity to act on behalf of the Coast Guard will regard to various functions. NVIC 03-05 (HK Law)
