Tug Bruce McAllister experienced an engine room fire one half mile south of the Kingston Bridge on the Hudson River. USCG Activities New York fought the fire and monitored the river for pollution. Once the fire was extinguished, the remaining fuel, oil, and water were removed and the tug refloated. A contractor was hired to conduct the cleanup and salvage.
