Egypt's Suez Canal Receipts Drop

Egypt's Suez Canal receipts slipped to $144.4 million in February from $160.8 million in January but up from $139.1 million in February 1999, the Cabinet Information and Decision Support Center said.

The canal is a main source of hard currency for Egypt, along with remittances from Egyptians working abroad, tourism and oil.
