Diana Shipping Inc., a global shipping company specializing in the ownership of dry bulk vessels, today announced that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it entered into a time charter contract with Transgrain Shipping B.V., Rotterdam, for one of its Panamax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Nirefs, a 75,311 dwt Panamax dry bulk vessel built in 2001.

The gross charter rate is $4,600 per day, minus a 5 percent commission paid to third parties, for a period of minimum 11 months to about 14 months. The charter is expected to commence tomorrow.

Diana Shipping expects the employment to generate approximately $1.5 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.
With the advent of fuel transition, digitalization, AI and autonomy, innovation in vessel design and operation proceeds at unprecedented speed.
